Who Are We? The North Carolina Respite Care Coalition is a grassroots network of parents, family caregivers and professionals in the field of respite care as well as government funding representatives and others from across the state who have an investment in family support services. The
coalition began in 1997 with a small group of people interested in
forming a network and making respite care known and available to all in
our state who need it. Today NCRCC operates as a program of Easter
Seals UCP North Carolina. Become a member of the coalition! Share your ideas and enthusiasm! Serve on the board to increase awareness in the community! Contact: Phyllis Stephenson NCRCC Director PO Box 165 Gibsonville, NC 27249 336-449-7934 ![]() ![]() Easter Seals UCP North Carolina |
UPCOMING EVENTS: Paving
the way for the Future of Respite Care in North Carolina Monday, November 17 Good For Me, Good for You We
had a wonderful conference on September 25 at Victory Junction Gang
Camp with about 75 people in attendance. Despite some uncertain weather
and gas challenges, we had good attendance and much valuable
information was shared through our inspiring presenters and through
attendees meeting each other. We were also thrilled that at least 11
caregivers attended and received massages, manicures and other gifts of
relaxation in the Spiritual Care Center.
Thanks
so much to all the people who helped make our conference a reality.
The planning committee did a great job and everyone is to be
commended. The silent auction was a big hit, with over $600 raised to
begin replenishing our respite care fund. Several people went home
after some friendly competitive bidding with some beautiful prizes.
There is talk about next year's conference already! Share your ideas by sending Jane an email. It's never too soon to start thinking about how to have a great conference. |
